Hilda, the Voluptuous Pinup

Am I the only one who hadn't heard of Hilda? This luscious pinup is the creation of the talented pinup artist Duane Bryers, and she was largely unknown until after his death in 2012. Although most pinups are known for their curves, Hilda's softer, fuller figure sets her apart. A little silly, a little funny, and ridiculously cute, Hilda's got to be my new favorite pinup.

  1. I have never seen nor heard of her either, but how amazingly cute are these? I love that they represent the fact that beauty and sexiness comes in more than one shape or size and that what one finds attractive another may not. And how cool that her form and shape hearkens back to a more classical idea of womanly beauty.
I think she's cute and by today's standards exceedingly modest, lol.

  2. I love Hilda! Someone I follow on Pinterest is always posting her. I just love that not only does she represent a body type that is not always represented in pin-ups, but there's a great sense of fun and of humor about these pictures in addition to them still being sexy. They're really charming!

    Cheers,

    1. That's what I like. A lot of cheesecake style pinup art has a little bit of a wink to the sexiness, but part of what I loved about these was a real sense of playfulness and fun. Charming is definitely the right word.

  3. I hadn't heard of Hilda before this! She looks like she is having a fun life. Ghost stories by the fire in long red thermal undies? Yes please!
